We are very excited to announce that we have reached 95.5% of our Fundraising Goal for the new X-RAY Suite at RVH!
The support of the community at large and the excitement around the Catch the Ace lottery and our annual Tree of Lights campaign is incredible.
“Our Catch the Ace Progressive Lottery has been a huge success and a very popular adventure for the entire community. We are extremely grateful to the merchants who are participating and selling tickets, our volunteers who dedicate time and energy to assist us, the folks who come to cheer us on live every week at our draw locations and the people who are buying tickets.
Our Annual Tree of Lights Campaign is also in full swing and this year’s donations to our “Lights of Love” will also go towards the refurbishment of the main X-Ray suite at RVH. Over 17,000 x-rays were performed over the past year making this department especially essential to our community. This upgrade will ensure we can provide the best of care close to home.” Patti Dillabough, Executive Director RVH Foundation.
December 3, 2019 is Giving Tuesday and we would like to extend a sincere THANK YOU to Jon Pole and the MYFM team for MATCHING all donations received for our Tree of Lights campaign throughout the entirety of Giving Tuesday. Stay tuned to see our results!
Good Luck to all participating in WEEK 36 of our Catch the Ace Adventure and we THANK everyone who came out to our 2019 annual Tree of Lights event on Friday December 6. It was a wonderful Family event with photos with Santa, the 4H Community Club hosted kids activities that were very popular, Jessie the Backyard Gourment BBQer was on hand making smores for the kids and Tim Horton’s provided Hot Chocolate to keep us warm.
We had a special display of our “LIGHTS of LOVE” tributes in front of the tree and that display has now moved to the hospital and will be updated as tributes continue to come in for Tree of Lights. We had the opportunity to introduce our talented 2019 Tree of Lights artist Dwyene MacNabb to the public and we were moved by the words of our Guest speaker Donna Ferguson Barr who gave a heartfelt message on why her family is a generational giving family to RVH. The event was followed by a special Traditional Holiday evening at the Renfrew Public Library and folks ventured down Candy Cane Lane to shop at our local merchants who remained open for some festive shopping!
Our message for our 2019 Tree of Lights event … “It is not what is under the tree that matters most, it is the people gathered around it!”
