The Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation established the YOUTH in PHILANTHROPY bursaries in 2020 to encourage volunteerism and community involvement with our local youth. The bursary available to a graduating student at R.C.I., St. Joseph’s and Opeongo High schools is presented to a student who has demonstrated outstanding community leadership and has promoted development and empowerment through philanthropic experiences within Renfrew County.
- Recipients chosen for this graduating award will:
- * Demonstrate leadership skills and an interest in community service
- * Exemplify the aspiration to promote the welfare of others, expressed especially by the generous donation of time, passion and commitment for improving their community
- *Exhibit the qualities of a youth philanthropist; emphasizing the importance of volunteerism and civic engagement
