Patti loves her role as Executive Director of the Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation and takes her responsibilities in leading the fundraising for our community hospital with passion and enthusiasm.
Born and raised in Renfrew, Patti has a lifetime interest in the area and knows the importance of having a well-equipped medical facility right here at home. She is forever grateful for the opportunity to support the hospital that so lovingly cares for our community.
Fundraising has always been a passion of Patti’s having volunteered for several years with a variety of local, regional and national charities: Sunshine Coach, RVH, Childhood Cancer, Candlelighter’s, The Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada, United Way, Canadian Cancer Society and the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO).

A strong background in management, financial analysis, budget expertise and years of Project Management experience give Patti the skills to oversee the Foundation responsibilities while managing various fundraising initiatives simultaneously, ensures the Foundation is fiscally responsible and is providing the funds needed to purchase essential capital equipment for the medical team at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital.

Melanie’s inspiration to join the RVH Foundation came from a short philanthropy career at Senior’s Home Support in Renfrew. During many years in the service industry, Melanie has always found joy in helping others.

As Manager of the RVH Foundation, she feels fortunate to wear multiple hats.

One of her memorable projects was the first Catch the Ace, which raised an impressive $2.6 million in just 47 weeks for RVH.. Melanie enjoys her role at the RVH Foundation for various reasons, particularly the opportunity to express her creativity. Being results driven, she appreciates how this work allows her to witness the outcomes of my efforts.

Melanie genuinely enjoys interacting with people in her community, whether it’s in person or over the phone, as it brings her happiness. Melanie looks forward to furthering her education in this fast evolving industry and continuing to build upon the successful traditions of the Foundation while raising funds for the Renfrew Victoria Hospital.

Melanie was born and raised in Renfrew on a family Dairy Farm just outside of Renfrew. She is fortunate to reside in her grandparents’ home on the farm. She cherishes this connection to her family roots. Her favorite times are spent with her 3 children and family.

Patti Watters is the Office Administrative Support for the Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation. She joins the team as a retired teacher after 31 years with the Renfrew County Catholic District School Board. She plays an integral part in supporting the daily operations of the Foundation, assisting with signature events, and helping manage the popular “Catch the Ace” fundraising initiative.

In her free time, Patti enjoys baking and cherishing moments with her grandsons. She is committed to making a positive impact on the community and is thrilled to be part of the team.

RVH Foundation Leadership Team

The RVH Foundation Leadership Team are skilled and dedicated professionals focused on supporting healthcare in our community. The RVH Foundation team has purpose, they are aligned to their strategic objectives, they are a high performing team with compassion and a great deal of pride in our community hospital.

What They Do:

Daily Operations: Manage the Foundation’s everyday activities, receive and record donations, stay abreast of the needs of the medical team at RVH and keep precise and accurate records of all Foundation business.
Fundraising: Plan, organize and host fundraising events, major campaigns, assist those hosting 3rd Party events for the Foundation and ensure all fundraising codes of standard are met.
Community Awareness: Raise awareness of the RVH and RVH Foundation’s brand and educate the community on the work of the Foundation, the equipment needs of the hospital, where the dollars raised are being directed. Encourage the residents to make the RVH Foundation their charity of choice when donating.
Stewartship: Build relationships with our donors and ensure donor stewardship options are outlined and available.
