On Saturday October 25th, the RVH Foundation partnered with CHARTWELL QUAIL CREEK and the Renfrew Curling Club to host our first ANNUAL RVH “ROCKS” Curling Bonspiel.  The Team at CHARTWELL QUAIL CREEK were onsite to participate and also to feature Chartwell Quail Creek and the many services it has for it’s residents.

Everyone on hand was treated to an amazing lunch and dinner prepared and served by the Renfrew Curling Club and everyone had a great day of curling, laughs and community connection!  Not only were the curling athletes required to be competitive on the ice but also had to play a loud and energetic game of CORNHOLE and show their skills with a golf club in the putting challenge.  All scores were added together, along with additional points being awarded for NEW CURLERS on each team and the results are as follows:

Bragging rights for FIRST PLACE in A and FIRST PLACE in B were:

With SECOND PLACE in GROUP A and B going to:

Yes, our very own RVH Foundation team took home SECOND PLACE thanks to the incredible curling skills of RVH Foundation Team member Brenda Gilchrist and her team: Jim, Torsten and Sonya.  We were very excited about that outcome!

Special thanks to Keith Moss of the Renfrew Curling Club and also a Director on the RVH Board of Directors for organizing and scoring the event with assistance from Larry and Terry and a Huge SHOUT OUT to RBC for their grant donation to the event.  We are looking forward to making this an annual event!

Again, thanks to CHARTWELL QUAIL CREEK for being our Partner Sponsor and to the hospitality of the Renfrew Curling Club!

Our Event goal was to raise the funds required to purchase a Dialysis treatment chair at a cost of $18,000 per chair and we are very excited to announce that we have reached that goal!  Thank you to all of our participants and sponsors for making a difference in our community healthcare!
