Yesterday, the RVH Foundation was proud to unveil the newest addition to the RVH Healing Garden: the John Steele Memorial Garden.
Located at the entrance to Renfrew Victoria Hospital’s Nephrology Department, the garden provides a beautiful and tranquil space where patients, families, staff, and caregivers can pause, reflect, and find a moment of peace.
John Steele was a beloved member of our community, known for his exceptional musical talents, generous spirit, and unwavering commitment to volunteerism. We are honoured to celebrate John’s legacy in this meaningful way. Through his generous gift to the RVH Foundation, his memory will continue to enrich our hospital and touch the lives of countless individuals for years to come.
A special thank you to Farrell’s Landscaping for their thoughtful garden design and creation, and to Milliken’s Garden Centre for providing the beautiful plants that surround and enhance this peaceful space.
The garden’s commemorative stone wall will also provide an opportunity for community members and businesses to purchase recognition plaques. These plaques will serve as lasting tributes to the people who have touched our lives, creating a meaningful place of remembrance and connection within our Healing Garden.
