On Sunday, October 18, Main Street Renfrew was engulfed in a sea of pink as runners and walkers came together for the RVH Foundation’s Put Your Breast Foot Forward 5K for RVH Mammography.

The morning kicked off with an energetic warm-up led by RVH Foundation supporter and fitness instructor Pat McGregor, before participants set off from the RVH Healing Garden. Leading the way were members of the Renfrew JRA Wolves and Renfrew JRB Timberwolves, guiding the “pack” along the 5-kilometre route down Main Street to Renfrew Presbyterian Church and back.

The event was an incredible show of community support for women’s breast health. Funds raised throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month through Put Your Breast Foot Forward, along with support from third-party fundraising events hosted by Revive Spin Studio and the Queens of the Green Golf Tournament, were directed toward RVH Mammography. These funds help ensure the Renfrew Victoria Hospital can continue to invest in the equipment needed to provide high-quality breast health services close to home.

The RVH Foundation extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, pledged a walker, volunteered, or supported the event.
